    Milan Bike Show 2013 anyone?

Never been to Europe's best bike show (?) so obviously, well overdue - even if I have been to Milan before

Looking at advanced options already for the event on the 2nd weekend in November, 7 to 10th (Thursday through Sunday).

Edinburgh flights (my preferred airport, so far) for the 8th to 10th £60 return, quite impressive.

    Show website here:

Strong hints about Ducati announcements on the 2014 bike line up at the show and quick check on Easyjet just showed the prices at £50 return!!!
    Fri out 07.05 / Sun return 23.00

Time to get serious about this I think, hotel recommendations welcome & possibility of Ducati factory visit and/or other places too Image: Only registered members can view images.

Oh yes, good travel sites needed too please, here's a new site to me I've been using:

I've been advised the show ISNT a place to get a bargain - more akin to a Trade show but with everything under the Sun but, very little to actually purchase.

    Any / All advise welcome.

    Thanks - Frank

Hi Frank, we always go on the trade days as a lot less people and free tickets too....

Just waiting for the trade tickets to appear on the eicma site. Then hopefully going on the tuesday 6th, flying from Gatwick to Malpensa.......

    Hiya Mate,

Sadly, myself and and the few bods I've talked to can only do the weekend - I could go a day earlier, when are the trade days?
    Cheers - Frank

Been twice now on the trade days and its well worth it. We combined it with a weeks holiday in Bologna with factory/museum visit. Sadly can't make it this year, maybe next.

Warmish, so during the day it's tshirt, but carry a jumper. It is also a bit damp but as with most of that part of northern Italy most of the streets are covered so its not an issue. We've always managed to sit outside enjoying a coffee during the day, but you're not going to top up your tan

It's a must for every biker, the only problem is that the NEC will never be the same again.

Press days are the best days to attend although friday the show usually stays open till 22.00pm, one of the metro lines go's right to the venue.

    Cheers Geoff!

To be honest, for me the NEC was never as good as the old Earls Court shows but, I imagine thats because I was just a wee slip of lad in those days
