    New house audio

Ok. We have been moved about 3 months now & with 1 thing & another have had no time to install my trusty Audio

Anyway after consideration i have decided its time to sell my separates & go the multiroom route.

One of my best buddies now works for Armour home audio & after opening an account im going to get a starter home pack from him

This consists of a netserver with a 1TB hard drive etc etc

A 2 room amp with various input

    An LMI unit

As well as that im getting 4 6 1/2 inch ceiling speakers & an in wall switch & ipod docking unit

I will be able to add later on but as this is costing enough im starting small

Its a professional installer only piece of kit but i am now on the list to carry out said works

    Should be good

Heres an overview of the kit

Very nice & here's me still in the dark ages, sticking headphones into kit just to get some 'man-time' lol.

Looks good. I was in a clients new house last week and he was showing me a similar system. If he had his phone or the controller in his hand the music would follow him around the house.... Even the lights would switch on and off as he walked around the house. He could fill his bath as he was on his way home from work. lol £20,000 worth of kit he said.

It's not that advanced Phill but I believe it can be linked across a 485 network to other stuff.
I ran the QED speaker cables into the kitchen/dining area yesterday and installed the 4 x 6 1/2 inch QI speakers in the ceiling. I wired them in series/parallel arrangement so I still had my 8 ohms load.
I also fitted the Monitor Audio speakers alongside the telly in the front room.
Tonight I will cable up the front room sub and then run the speaker cable thro the crossovers to the wall speakers.
I will move my router cable and place the hub next to the new kit

Keep the old kit for when the inevitable disappointment kicks in.

    Ok . Now working

Sub fitted & crossovers drive mids & tweets next to the telly. Kitchen speakers are very good quality. Switching unit installed next to the front room light switch.

Going to now run a cable to the bathroom for a speaker in there.

Going to tidy it all up & then get some tunes uploaded
